WHAT'S HAPPENING

The ailing Dodgers came to town and swept the Nationals. Sunday’s 7-2 Los Angeles win capped three wins in two days. The Nationals were not able to find a win despite pitching Stephen Strasburg and Max Scherzer in the series. Sunday’s loss featured little offense, a so-so outing from Strasburg and the recurrent bullpen problems that arise when Brandon Kintzler, Ryan Madson and Sean Doolittle are not lined up. In fact, Madson was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday because of a chest strain. Trea Turner hit a two-run homer Sunday for the Nationals’ only offense.
