The Nationals made their first move of the offseason by acquiring reliever Kyle Barraclough from the Miami Marlins in exchange for international slot money.
Barraclough delivers a lot of strike outs, but also a lot of walks. The Marlins used him as the closer for part of last season. Expect him to work more in the middle innings for the Nationals. One thing Barraclough can do is handle a large workload. He’s thrown an average of 65 innings per season during the last three years.
